Immigration to Saskatchewan: International Skill Worker Program
1. Employment Offer
Suitable for skilled workers who have received a job offer from an employer in the province of Saskatchewan.
To immigrate to the province of Saskatchewan, you are eligible for this subcategory if you meet the following conditions:
- You have a job offer for a position in Saskatchewan. A job that requires skills.
- It doesn’t matter if you live outside or inside Canada.
- Meet the criteria for this subset:
- Score at least 60 points in the SINP score evaluation table.
- Have at least one year of experience in the last 10 years in your desired job.
- Have a language score of at least CLB 4.
- Be offered permanent full-time employment in Saskatchewan.
- Valid SINP work confirmation letter;
- You must have a job offer in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, 3.
2. Tech Talent Pathway
Suitable for skilled workers who are working in one of the qualified specialized jobs in the field of technology.
Did you know that Saskatchewan faces a significant labor shortage, particularly in highly skilled occupations? For this reason, the provincial government has launched the tech talent route. This new Saskatchewan immigration program will help the province’s employers hire skilled workers for technology-related jobs.
This program is in two types: There is Non-Express Entry, along with Express Entry.
3. Occupation In-Demand
Suitable for skilled workers who have experience working in one of Saskatchewan’s in-demand occupations, but do not yet have a job offer.
If you are a skilled worker who is eligible to immigrate to Saskatchewan under this subcategory, you must:
- You do not have a job offer in Saskatchewan, but you have high skills in a job that is needed in this province.
- Those who live abroad or in Canada.
- Follow the criteria below.
- Score at least 60 points out of 110 in the SINP score evaluation table.
- Language score Have a minimum language score of 4 CLB.
- Have a university education or completed a training course approved by Canada.
- For education completed outside of Canada, an Educational Qualification Assessment (ECA) must be completed.
- Have work experience in jobs that require high skills.
- You must have at least one year of full-time work experience (at least 30 hours per week) in a job that requires expertise in the last 10 years.
- Your work experience must be at a TEER 0, 1, 2, 3 that is in demand in Saskatchewan at the time of your application.
- Your work history should be related to your job and education.
- The application fee for this program is $350, which is non-refundable.
4. Saskatchewan Express Entry
Suitable for applicants who have an express entry profile and work experience in jobs required by the province.
This subset is for skilled labor that:
- They have no job offer in Saskatchewan.
- Those who live outside Canada or in this country.
- They are in the IRCC Express Entry pool.
- You must meet the following criteria:
- Have a valid Express Entry profile number and job search code.
- Score at least 60 points in the SINP score evaluation table.
- Meet FedEx Entry language requirements.
- Have completed post-secondary education or have completed an education equivalent to at least one year of study in Canada.
- For education completed outside of Canada, you must provide an Educational Credit Assessment (ECA).
- Minimum work experience required:
- For skilled professionals (other than traders): One year of work experience in the last 10 years.
- For technical and professional staff: Two years of work experience in the last five years.
- To categorize the Canadian experience: One year of work experience in Canada in the last three years (skilled tradesmen and skilled professionals).
- Your work experience must be in the field of your graduate studies or skill courses.
- You must have a specific residency program and prove your financial ability to live in this province.
5. Hard to fill jobs pilot program
The Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot pilot program is for semi-skilled or low-skilled workers who are employed in jobs required by the province and have job offers.
If you are one of the following people, this category is a good option for you:
- You have a job vacancy in Saskatchewan for a low or medium skill job.
- You live in Canada or abroad.
- Meet the criteria for this trial plan:
- Have at least one year of full-time work experience in the last three years (in the desired occupation).
- or six months (780 hours) of full-time work experience (more than 30 hours per week) with the employer who provided you with the employment confirmation letter. In both cases, there is no need to have consecutive work history.
- Have a language score of at least CLB 4.
- Have completed the equivalent of Canadian high school (high school) or higher education. If your studies have not been completed in Canada, you must submit a degree evaluation.
Immigration to Saskatchewan: Saskatchewan Work Experience Workforce Program1. Skilled workforce with existing work visas- Have worked in Saskatchewan for at least six months on a valid work visa.
- Have a permanent full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan employer. NOC TEER should be 0, 1, 2, 3.
- Follow the criteria below.
- Have a permanent full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan employer.
- For Food Industry, apply under the Hospitality Sector Pilot Project Subset.
- Have worked for more than six months for the employer offering you the job. That too with a valid visa.
- Your job offer must be for the same job you have been working in for the past six months.
- Have a valid work visa issued by IRCC. Asylum seekers in Canada who apply for asylum from the Canadian government are not eligible to apply.
- If your job offer is in NOC TEER 4, 5, have minimum CLB 4 language score.
- Have worked in Saskatchewan for more than six months on a valid work visa for the employer providing the work or have previously worked in Saskatchewan for at least six months.
- Have a full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan-based employer. This job must be in the following National Occupation Classification (NOC) occupations:
- NOC 85100: livestock worker
- NOC 85103: greenhouse worker
- Have a valid SINP employment confirmation letter.
- Have worked for more than six months for the employer offering you a job with a valid work visa. Your job offer must be for the same job you have been working in for the past six months.
- If your job offer is in a NOC TEER 4 job, have at least CLB 4.
- Have worked full-time in Saskatchewan on a temporary work visa for at least six months:
- Doctor
- Nurse
- Other health professionals
- Follow the criteria below.
- Have worked full-time (30 hours per week) for at least six months for an employer offering you permanent employment and have a temporary work visa as a doctor, nurse or other health professional.
- You are currently working in Saskatchewan on a temporary work visa through the LMIA.
- Have worked with a SINP Hospitality approved employer for at least six months.
- Have at least a high school diploma.
- They are working in one of the following jobs:
- Food/beverage server (NOC 65200)
- Food Counter/Kitchen Assistant (NOC 65201)
- Housekeeping/Cleaning Workers (NOC 65310)
- Have worked full-time (30 hours per week) for at least six months for an employer offering you permanent employment.
- Have at least CLB 4.
- Have worked for a Saskatchewan transportation company for at least six months on a temporary visa.
- Have a Class 1A Saskatchewan driver’s license.
- Have a full-time and permanent job offer from your employer.
- Your employer must be an approved transportation company in Saskatchewan.
- Have a minimum CLB language score of 4 or higher.
- Have worked with pay in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months (or 780 hours).
- You have a permanent full-time job offer in your field of study from an employer based in Saskatchewan.
- Immigration to Saskatchewan: Entrepreneurs and farms programSaskatchewan’s investment program includes 3 subcategories, which we will examine together.1. Saskatchewan entrepreneurThis program, the Saskatchewan Entrepreneurship Program, is for immigrants who want to establish or partner with a business in Saskatchewan by immigrating to Saskatchewan and actively participate in its management during their stay in Saskatchewan.So let’s check the steps of this program:
- In the first step, you submit an Expression of Interest or EOI to the Saskatchewan Immigration Program.
- Once your EOI has been accepted, you will be invited to submit your application.
- Create a business
- Receive nomination
- Have at least 500,000 Canadian dollars.
- Have at least three years of related business management or entrepreneurial experience gained within the last ten years.
- Have the financial ability to invest at least $300,000 in Regina and Saskatoon, or at least $200,000 in other Saskatchewan cities.
- If you are invited to submit an application, you must submit a Business Establishment Plan (BEP). Your BEP should include the following:
- Your plan to create a business must be in line with the scoring system of the province’s entrepreneurship program.
- Own at least one-third (33%) of the shares of a business in Saskatchewan, unless your total investment is CAD 1 million or more.
- Commit to managing the day-to-day business.
- Create at least two jobs for two Saskatchewan residents. Of course, these two people should not be your relatives.
- Resident of Saskatchewan and at least 21 years of age.
- Hold a university degree from an accredited academic institution in Saskatchewan.
- Hold a valid post-graduation work visa (PGWP).
- Have a minimum CLB language score of 7.
- Financial resources: Have a net worth of $500,000 CAD.
- Mandatory visit to Saskatchewan: You must visit Saskatchewan for at least five business days.
